Emulate Energy has developed a groundbreaking algorithm that emulates a physical battery by utilizing changes in electricity demand. This innovative solution addresses the challenge of energy storage on a mass scale, which has long been an obstacle to the widespread use of 100 % renewable energy. Instead of relying on raw materials to build physical batteries, Emulate’s virtual battery leverages cutting-edge research to create smart digital solutions. The core technology is a spin-off from academic research conducted at MIT.
Emulate Energy has secured the backing of some of the world’s most progressive energy companies, and raised MSEK 22 from investors such as Axel Johnson’s Axsol, Skellefteå Kraft, and Utvecklingsklustret. RosholmDell, with the support of Carolina Thoft and Ebba Dyvik, has advised Emulate Energy in the fundraising process.
“With the support of these industry leaders, we are well-positioned to tackle one of the biggest societal challenges we face today,” said Shwan Lamei, CEO, and founder of Emulate Energy. “This is a significant milestone for our company, and our next step is to add top talent to our growing team and expand our business internationally.”
